Scotland Loves Local

From the 25th to the 29th of August, we’ll be celebrating Galashiels’ fantastic businesses as part of Scotland Loves Local week. This year’s theme – People Make Places – couldn’t be more fitting. After all, there’s surely no town that better embodies that spirit than Gala, named one of the happiest places to live in the UK.

From long-loved favourites to hidden gems waiting to be discovered, our local businesses are at the heart of our town. You can explore them on our sister site, Galashiels: Heartland of the Borders – a directory of local shops, services, and venues for you to support, rediscover, or enjoy for the very first time.

Through the BID for Galashiels project, we’ll also be working with Scotland’s Town Partnerships on press opportunities during the week to promote Galashiels – so keep an eye on our socials for updates.
