Meeting Calum Kerr MP

BID for Galashiels recently joined Energise Galashiels Trust and Galashiels Community Council for a positive and productive meeting with Calum Kerr MP.

There was plenty to discuss, with conversation covering the wider Galashiels community, our creative sector, and the opportunities and challenges facing small businesses across the town.

It was a valuable opportunity to share what’s happening in Galashiels, discuss some of the issues facing the town and look at how we can work collaboratively to support its future.

Following the meeting, Calum said: “Thanks to the BID, Energise Galashiels and the Community Council for their time on Friday. I found it a really useful meeting. There is a lot to get stuck into, some real challenges but plenty of opportunities too, and the collaboration between these organisations gives the town a strong base to build from. I look forward to working with you all in the months ahead to make a difference for Gala.”

There is plenty to do, but it was a really positive first meeting and a good foundation for continuing to work together in the months and years ahead.
