The BID for Galashiels has successfully secured a 'yes' in the recent ballot, paving the way for a brighter future for the town. This positive outcome marks a significant milestone in the efforts to revitalise Galashiels and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the local business community. With the vote confirmed, the focus now shifts to delivering the ambitious Business Plan for 2025-2030. This plan is set to drive economic growth, increase footfall, and create a welcoming environment that benefits businesses, residents, and visitors alike.

The next phase of the project will involve recruiting members of the business community to become directors of the new BID company. This initiative provides an exciting opportunity for local business owners to play a vital role in bringing the Business Plan to life and shaping the future of Galashiels. The newly appointed directors will work to ensure that the planned projects—ranging from business support to community events—are effectively delivered, building on the momentum achieved through the vote.
