Where Christmas Comes Together 2026

Our Where Christmas Comes Together campaign is back for 2026! Following the fantastic response to last year’s campaign, BID for Galashiels is once again delivering a programme of festive activity designed to bring people into the town, encourage them to explore and give them more reasons to visit local businesses throughout the Christmas period.

A Festive Gala – 21st November 2026, 11am-6pm

A Festive Gala returns for its second year, bringing a full day of activity into the town centre, including a Christmas Market, family entertainment and live performances, finishing with the Christmas Lights Switch-On and Torchlight Procession.

Late Night Christmas Shopping – 3rd December 2026, 5pm-8pm

Our late-night shopping event also returns, giving businesses an opportunity to get involved with late opening and festive offers. We’ll support the evening with a Christmas Market, entertainment and family activities, helping encourage people to spend the evening in Galashiels.

A new and improved Christmas Trail – 1st November/31st December 2026

This year’s trail has a new theme, with nine reindeer hidden in businesses around Galashiels and an iPad up for grabs. Running throughout November and December, it’s another way we’re encouraging families to explore different parts of the town and visit participating businesses.

Promoting Christmas across Galashiels

It’s not just about BID for Galashiels activity. Galashiels Heartland will also bring together festive events happening across the town, helping residents and visitors see everything Galashiels has to offer and giving them more reasons to come into town throughout the season.

Got a festive event planned? Let us know so we can include it in the Christmas listings and help spread the word.

Full details of the Where Christmas Comes Together campaign will be shared on the Galashiels Heartland channels next week.
