We’re Howden, located at 79 High Street right in the heart of Galashiels.

How long have you been in business in Galashiels?

We opened our doors in April 2014, originally known as Bruce Stevenson. Now, as part of Howden since October 2023, we’re experiencing an exciting period of growth. Being part of Howden enhances our capabilities, expands the expertise available to our clients, and ensures our positively personal service continues to develop, evolve, and deliver even greater value to the people and communities we’re proud to support.

What’s something you offer that people might not know about?

Our office specialises in commercial insurance, and as a wider business we’re able to support both commercial and personal clients across their financial services including pensions, mortgages, and private medical insurance. For businesses, Howden provides tailored risk management and a comprehensive range of specialist covers. With our local offices at the heart of what we do, over 30,000 businesses across Scotland rely on us to keep them protected.

What do you love most about working for Howden?
