Fantastic work has been carried out by Jay Hogarty Property to refresh the former Clydesdale Bank building on Galashiels High Street. The building has been transformed into an attractive, modern space offering a range of flexible retail units, all now available to let.

To see the fantastic transformation and explore the available units, view 9 High Street here and 11 High Street here.

Making the Most of Vacant Space

While the property searches for its new tenants, our Vacant Shop Academy project is ensuring it continues to make a positive contribution to the town.

One of the prominent High Street windows has been transformed into a new community noticeboard with a wellbeing focus, providing space to promote local support services, community groups, wellbeing initiatives and upcoming events. It's another way of ensuring vacant premises continue to add value while they await their next chapter.

Get Involved

If you're a local organisation, charity or community group with an event, service or initiative you'd like featured on the noticeboard, we'd love to hear from you.

We're also keen to hear from landlords with vacant shopfronts who would be happy for their windows to be used in a similar way. If you have an idea for how an empty shop window could become a positive feature for the town, we'd love to hear that too.

To feature something on the noticeboard, discuss a vacant property or share an idea, please contact Claire at claire@bidforgalashiels.com.
