We are launching a new Retail Resilience Pilot Programme for a small number of local businesses who want tailored, practical support to help navigate the current trading climate.

We know that trading conditions continue to be challenging for many businesses. While some issues are specific to individual businesses, there are also wider social and economic pressures affecting the retail sector nationally, not just here in Galashiels.

Through conversations with businesses, survey feedback, and ongoing engagement, we’ve heard clearly that many businesses are looking for immediate, practical short-term support.

In response, we are partnering with an external retail expert to deliver a tailored pilot programme designed to help businesses identify challenges, opportunities, and realistic next steps for their business. This will be a combination of 1:1 and group support.

The programme will include:

  • A review and audit of your business

  • Dedicated coaching and guidance

  • The opportunity to identify key pain points and barriers

  • Action Learning Sessions with fellow business owners

  • Exploration of practical solutions and opportunities

  • Discussion around how the BID may be able to support future actions and initiatives

This pilot is intended to provide direct support to participating businesses, while also helping shape future initiatives and support that will benefit the wider business community and the town as a whole.

Spaces are limited. If you would like to be involved and benefit from this tailored support, please get in touch as soon as possible to express your interest. Email Claire at claire@bidforgalashiels.com
