New Halloween Event for Galashiels

This October, we’re introducing a new BID-organised Halloween event, creating another reason for families to visit Galashiels and spend time in the town.

Taking place on Saturday 31st of October from 11am–2pm, the event will combine a hub of family activity in the pedestrianised area of Upper Channel Street with a guising trail that takes families around the town.

Upper Channel Street will host free face painting, Halloween games and activities, creating a lively focal point for the event. From there, the guising trail will encourage families to explore Galashiels, moving between participating locations and discovering 

more of the town as they go.

The format has been deliberately designed to spread activity beyond one location. While Upper Channel Street provides a central destination, the trail will help move visitors around Galashiels, giving businesses in different areas the opportunity to benefit from the additional footfall generated on the day.

Help us make Galashiels spooky!

We’d love to see businesses across Galashiels getting into the Halloween spirit by decorating their windows and helping create a spooky atmosphere across the town.

With families following the guising trail and exploring Galashiels on the day, decorated windows will help make the whole town feel part of the event – whether you go all-out or simply add a few Halloween touches.
