Golden Broom Launches

The Golden Broom Award has officially launched – a new monthly award recognising levy-paying businesses that take pride in their premises and help keep Galashiels looking its best.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for businesses making an effort with things like:

• Clean and tidy shopfronts and entrances

• Well-kept windows and displays

• Litter-free areas around premises

• Planting, flowers or other touches that brighten the street

• Going that little bit further to look after your area of town

  
  

First to take home the Golden Broom is The Trophy Guy, recognised for the care and attention they give to their premises and the area around it. They’ll hold the trophy for the month before it moves on to our next winner.

If we all take a little responsibility for the space around our businesses, those individual efforts add up – helping create streets that feel cared for, welcoming and somewhere people want to spend time.
