As BID for Galashiels continues to grow, we're looking to welcome new Directors from levy-paying businesses to join our Board.
Our current Board brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and commitment, helping to guide the BID's work and deliver value for levy payers. As the BID's projects and activities continue to evolve, we're looking to strengthen the Board with new voices, fresh perspectives and a broader mix of business experience.
Whether you run an independent business, manage a national retailer, work in hospitality, professional services or another sector, we'd love to hear from representatives of levy-paying businesses who are passionate about supporting Galashiels and helping shape the future direction of the BID.
As a BID Director, you'll help guide the strategic direction of BID for Galashiels and represent the interests of levy-paying businesses. You'll:
Help shape the BID's priorities and future projects.
Bring ideas, experience and constructive challenge.
Support good governance and decision-making.
Champion a thriving town centre.
We're particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in:
Marketing & Communications
Fundraising & Income Generation
Place Making & Town Centre Regeneration
Economic Development
Business Support & Business Development
Even if your experience doesn't fit one of these areas, we'd still love to hear from you. If you're passionate about Galashiels and feel you have something valuable to contribute, we'd encourage you to get in touch.
Commitment
The role is voluntary, with the Board meeting monthly. Directors are expected to attend meetings, prepare where appropriate and contribute positively to the wider work of the BID.
